The Milarepa puja Torma is designated to serve as the daily ritual offering for the Buddhist deity Milarepa. This handcrafted piece is made from wood where the paintings are added according to the Buddhist cultural requirements. Similarly, the carvings are added by skilled wood carving artisans. The shape, color, and appearance of this Torma have been designed by the monks in the monasteries in Nepal to receive the blessings from the deity while offering the rituals with this Torma.

According to Buddhist tradition, this Torma features a central cavity designed to hold an item known as “Sung,” which has been consecrated by monks through the chanting of mantras. The top (Chetta) can be separated from the Torma and the middle part needs to be taken off from the bottom plate to put the Sung in it.
